Anne Bödekker, born in 1966, is a nationally certified fashion designer (Lette-Verein, Berlin) and a qualified painting conservator (Palazzo Spinelli, Florence). For more than twenty years she has lived and worked in Hamburg as both an artist and costume designer.
Her paintings are deeply influenced by her fascination with the ocean — its intensity, volatility, and the fragile line between beauty and menace. She explores themes of transience, fleeting moments, and the way people mirror themselves in the shifting face of nature.
Alongside her own artistic practice, Bödekker has shared her knowledge and passion for 15 years as a lecturer at the Sommerakademie Norden.
