Wondrous Creature Series 4 paintings - Daniela Schweinsberg
Artist: Daniela Schweinsberg
Title: Wondrous Creature Series 4 paintings
Dimensions: 54 x 54 x 5 cm each
Materials: Acrylics, Oil and Spray paint on Canvas
The “Wondrous Creatures” series was inspired by some of my paintings that are on pure linen with a transparent ground. I wanted to create something similar on raw canvas and with a limited colour scheme.
So all four pieces are abstracts with a limited soft tones colour palette. The background is an important part of the painting and shall partly stay free from colour.
The title came up during the painting process, as I discovered creatures (or figures) in each of the paintings.
Painted on self-stretched canvas. The canvas is primed with a transparent ground. Mixed media paintings: ink, acrylic, marker and charcoal. Signed and dated on the back.
Varnished with a matt varnish (Lascaux with UV Protection).
Ready to hang with a white floating frame.
Abstract. Powerful. Gestural.
The Artist Daniela Schweinsberg is an abstract painter. Her works stand for a strong gestural power and the artists certain characteristic style.
Her works are affected by the free and powerful brushstrokes, that are always recognisable - passionate and energetic.
The artworks are created informally. Each step builds on the previous step, leaving room for chance but also for corrections and erasures, until the final finished artwork has evolved as a composition of colour, shapes, lines and contrasts.
Daniela's works of art are informal; they are her personal expression of experiences and impressions. Each piece is truly unique and only one of its kind.
The energetic works invite the viewer, to explore and discover them - and to elicit it's individual message!
"An abstract painting challenges the artist even more, because its an act of creation on the artist's own terms."
